About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Senior Accountant to join our Finance team. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and supporting the queries from stakeholders. This role is crucial in supporting the organization’s financial health, providing insights for decision-making, and maintaining internal controls.
Location – Hybrid | Bandung, Indonesia (at least 2 days per week in the office)
What You’ll be Doing
1. Indonesia Finance Representative
- Handle day-to-day finance matters for the Indonesia operations, including accounts payable, expense reimbursements, and banking matters.
- Work closely with People team to support finance-related administrative and operational matters.
- Act as the main finance point of contact for matters relating to the Indonesia operations.
2. Accounts Receivable
- Record and reconcile customer receipts and incoming payments.
- Monitor and follow up on outstanding accounts receivable balances.
- Respond to account receivable queries from customers.
- Follow up on payment discrepancies or outstanding items where required.
- Work closely with the Billing Team on end-of-month billing and account receivable matters.
3. Accounting Support
- Provide guidance and support to junior associate on day-to-day accounting matters.
- Review accounting work prepared by junior associate for accuracy and completeness.
- Prepare balance sheet schedules and other financial reports for Singapore and Indonesia entity
- Assist with internal and external audits by providing required documentation and support.
- Assist with accounting review, reconciliation, and other finance-related tasks as required.
4. Corporate Compliance & Tax Matters
- Support corporate compliance requirements across Singapore (PTE Ltd) and Indonesia entities, including annual filings, regulatory submissions, and entity maintenance.
- Liaise with external tax advisors and tax agents on matters related to corporate tax, withholding taxes, and cross-border tax considerations.
- Assist in the setup and incorporation of new entities, including documentation preparation and regulatory filing coordination.
- Monitor and ensure timely completion of statutory compliance obligations (annual returns, financial statement filings, tax declarations).
- Prepare and maintain corporate compliance calendars and checklists to ensure no deadlines are missed.
- Work with internal stakeholders and external advisors to address tax inquiries, audit queries, and compliance matters.
- Support the Finance team in tax planning discussions and provide input on tax implications of business decisions.
About You
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Experience:
- At least 3 years of experience in accounting, financial reporting, or a related role.
- Understanding of accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS) and regulatory requirements.
Skills & Competencies:
- Proficiency in accounting ERP software (e.g., Oracle Netsuite) and Microsoft Excel.
- Analytical mindset with problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills to meet deadlines.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work with stakeholders at all levels.
- Detail-oriented, capable of managing high transaction volumes efficiently, with a focus on prioritization.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively within a team
